Art of Mourning Anniversary

2025 marks the 20th year of Art of Mourning and a new focus for the education of mourning/sentimental fashion, jewellery and art in history. In 2005 Art of Mourning began in England as a way of using my 10 years of collecting and research experience to apply that knowledge to the discovery of fashion in history and share that with the world. After countless essays, lectures, publications, tours and media my lifetime dedication to historical education will be my only focus.

As a thank you for sharing this journey with me I have a free access essay on Patreon about pearls in 19th century mourning jewellery, popular women’s fashion and why they are still used in mourning today. For those who don’t know, I am writing an essay a week on Patreon for only $1 a month and for $5 and higher you get access to my live webinars, lectures and more.

Thank you for a lifetime of support. Your kindness and interest will keep the memories of these jewels alive for generations to come.
